I will be the first to admit, I was teary eyed during most of this day.  Just a lot of incredible moments between these two, and even others in the family and tight friend group.

Really neat story about Matt and Julia.  They’ve known each other since GRADE SCHOOL!  Yeah.  That’s why having their marriage at the church and place where they went to school next door to is really incredible.  As they grew older, Julia started writing to Matt when he was in the Marines.  When he came back on leave (I believe) they finally went on a date.  From different sources I am told slightly different things, but it seems that it wasn’t a believable notion that this day would come before the first date.  Hilarious.

Julia has probably one of the most contagious laughs I’ve ever heard.  Many times I was tempted to pull out my phone and record her laughing to save for a rainy day.  Then I realized how creepy that was…and why am I still writing this out?  Ah.  Well, not only does she have a great laugh, but a stinkin awesome appreciation for being active.  As we’ve seen in their Engagement Session, she is like a monkey.  DID YOU SEE HER IN A TREE?!?!?  Yeah, her idea of course.  I love it.

Matt is one of those guys that should have the biggest ego you’ve ever come across.  First of all, yes he is a Marine.  He served six years for our country, and did an amazing job at it.  Take a look at his coat.  Medals upon medals.  And of course, he’ll tell you he sold a lot of cookies.  It makes you want to hug him that much more.  He is probably the best mix of a calm and collected guy, and still really fun and truly into his gal.  It takes a special guy to be with the ever so Monkey-like Julia, and Matt couldn’t be more perfect.  It takes a big man to be confident in who he is and what he does.  I was amazed time and time again with these two.

Huge and fun family, packed dance floor, lovely locations at the Morton Arboretum, Hyatt, and St. Irene…and I was lucky to have Jackie Lovato second shoot with me!  This is her site! (obviously caught me tossing my camera!)  I couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Thanks and congrats to you Matt and Julia Duquette!!!!  Crazy.  Have fun!
