This was an incredible day, filled with just the coolest spots you could imagine for a wedding.  One of the first things I noticed about Mark and Laurel is how much they care for other people.  The design behind their ceremony and reception locations was for the guests to have something to do while they were off either taking pictures with me or just being with each other.  Not only that, but it just looks so dang good to begin with.

These two make you want to love.  If you don’t have somebody special in your life like that, you still have that warm feeling of care and happiness.  All throughout their day, their personalities were pretty much written on the walls.  They love being active and educated.  So what better way of combining the two concepts than to go to museums??  Their dating life was/is incredible, playing fantasy sports together, checking out all sorts of carnivals, shows, loads of mini road trips, and other crazy awesome excursions.
And they hit that dance floor like there was no tomorrow.  I love it.  Afterwards, as you can tell, we hit the town for a mini tour of our own in Chicago.  As a photographer, you always want to encourage your subject to “be yourself” and just staying out of the way if you can.  It’s something that you really need to work at to be less and less distracting.  As we were shooting at night, I didn’t have to even think about how I would be out of their way to let them be them.  This just goes back to what I said before…they make you want to love.  They care about each other so much it doesn’t matter what’s going on around them.  This includes the crazy yelling paparazzi that they asked to photograph their wedding.

Congrats you guys on one incredible day, a great history together, and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!!
